a dove's beak seems sharper...there are also differences in color and a dove's tail seems longer too

Yeah, I think dove's have "sharp" tails, and pigeons have... flatter/more squared off tails?!?!?

It might just be the picture, but the dove has a black spot on its neck.

they seem to have different coloration and eye color and different feet shapes

Gosh, I hope they always give us color pictures... Once at regionals for Amph & Rep, the procotor gave us black and white ones.
It'd be really hard to tell some of the birds apart if it weren't for coloration. (Of course, I know color isn't a very good thing to base most identifications off of because of lighting and constrast and color quality and all that, but it's a good place to start an identification...)

wouldnt it be a huge problem of u got black and white pictures for amphibians and reptiles. (Snake I.D)
