Re: Crimebusters?
then again, SCB and Can't Judge really aren't that similar. SCB has to do with more of the analysis of identification, while Can't Judge is strictly "identification", if you will.

Re: Crimebusters?
But according to several former participants, in Can't Judge you are never required to actually identify what the powder is. You have to observe the properties of the powder and take a test based on what you learned during the testing session.

i'd still be surprised if they kept both--and they can change the rulesgyourkoshaven wrote:But according to several former participants, in Can't Judge you are never required to actually identify what the powder is. Re: Crimebusters?
I did this event in '06; and thats right, you don't have to identify the powder, just note the properties. So overall, not that similar to scb, but still dealing with powders/unknowns etc.gyourkoshaven wrote:But according to several former participants, in Can't Judge you are never required to actually identify what the powder is. We will probably get to know for sure September? Just my guess for when the rule packets usually come out.

Re: Crimebusters?
So there will be no testing involved with the event not really like sceince crimebusterssoccer_5456 wrote:I did this event in '06; and thats right, you don't have to identify the powder, just note the properties. Re: Crimebusters?
No, there is testing involved. You do need to find if it is soluble, conductive, etc. However, you dont need to know a flow chart or anything like that. It is much more based on a wide knowledge of tests and how to conduct them, but not needing to know about certain powders, rather than knowledge of properties of specific powders in SCB.
