I did this event at State 2 or 3 years ago and I got Soooo MAD at the idiot college professor running it who didn't even bother to read the rules. He made it confusing and dumb and it went WAAAAYYY against the rules but they still didn't take out the event. Its a nice idea for an event, and I'll be doing it again this year, but it just doesn't work when it really counts. Too many things can go wrong with this event when put into non-science olympiad hands. I just hope it will be better this year.

I think Compute This should be replaced with a different study event. I know there are people that would love to have Rocks, Bugs, or fill-in-the-blank event back instead. I know I'd rather win in a event that I studied for rather than prove my googling skills.

You wont be saying that when googling becomes a sport.

and you have to be able to do more than google. you have to be able to find the information on a certain cite, then graph it and answer questions about it in the fifty minutes given. its harder than it sounds.
