i think its a good thing to have regionals beacuse it acts kinda like a practice to my team. we have one invitational here and its only for C and spots fill up FAST so in Colorado regionals (all 2) is definatly a good thing but ya here its almost impossible not to get into states here. There are about 30 teams per div per region here so thats about 120 in the whole state. the top half goes so about 30 teams in each div get in. seems a little hard until youfactor in the tech teams here about 10 per div per region they just do tech events and nothing else so its impossilbe for them to get in so in about 20 teams acually trying to get to states 15 get to go pretty easy here ;)

see, regionals are only practice if your team is really good. we have never made it past regionals. that's it for us. one day (really soon, i hope!) we will make states and regionals won't be the end of the road anymore :)

That seems to be based on the state. In some states, it's very true. However, in others, it seems that half or more teams from each regional goes to states. Or there's no such thing as regionals.

I wish there's a way they could even it out a bit.

I would think that would be kind of hard unless they started combining states. Then there would be distance problems like California. But you'd have instead of regionals then states you'd have states then Sectionals.
