What kinds of notes are you all attaching to your field guides? I have got a lot of structural diagrams and a few notes on frog and toad calls.

Sounds are a killer...i suggest organizing your notes so that you'll have a easeir time going through them....but probably wont need to worry about that we're doing somthing else next year...or are you one of the lucky few that got into nationals?

Re: Amphibians and Reptiles
Well because of the new rule about the 2 inches out, I have been totally side tracked. I don't want to be DQed because of notes sticking out, but I need info .

Re: Amphibians and Reptiles
Yeah but it has to be 2 inches under when sticking out? Or does that not count for you? Trust me 2 weeks before regionals, had to do everything over. Then there was the thing when you needed more info that was not in the book. I put it in sat on it for HOURS so that it would stay in and guess what? We didn't even use it!!

There was a new rule stated about 2 weeks before regionals, it was that you were not allowed to have 2 inches or more of notes sticking out of your field guide.

I've never heard of that rule, and I've gone through regionals and state with my team's field guide. A link to confirm this would be really nice.trajectoryroxs wrote:There was a new rule stated about 2 weeks before regionals, it was that you were not allowed to have 2 inches or more of notes sticking out of your field guide.
