howd u do, and how many years have u been in sci olympiad now?
lol, I got 2nd in Envi Chem :D Good job. We didn't expect to get 2nd, we didn't think we were that prepared.
My mom, who coached us, started telling me how surprised she was that we medaled. I was like, "Thanks Mom... Glad you've got such confidence in us..."

My family actually went and saw some of the events as spectators because we were in Washington anyway. Because of that, I remember the rain as well. I can only imagine what it was like for actual participants.

i have question: whats the swap meet i heard about like?
The swap meet's LOADS of fun!!! You just get to hang around and trade some stuff with fellow science olympiad-ers  It's just a great time. If the keynote speaker is rly boring, you'll probably doze off at the opening ceremony and then regain ALL your energy at teh swap meet. If teh speaker is interesting (like last year) well then you'll still have you energy

Also, congrats to your whole team for being champs!! You guys must be really excited!

Yeah, what he said, and a lot more!

Last year at the swap meet, it took place outside in a courtyard (i think) and many of the lampposts either didn't work or were turned off, so you had to rely on flashy LED lights and the rave sweat that everyone was giving off

It's usually a competition to see whoever can get the lobster hat first, or cheese hat, or uncle sam hat!
Wow, I hardly traded in the swap meet. I just stood there, afraid to get lost, and at the last minute, I traded my Poland License Plate (I believe?) for a Lobster Hat! :D My Anatomy coach forced me to trade. :| I just put all my swaps in a bag afterwards and do nothing with it. :D
2010 Events: Anatomy, Astronomy, Cell Biology, Protein Modeling
Looking forward to the '11 SO season!
