Re: Your Daily Random Comment
that's how high school works haha. You think you need more to do during boring middle school and then you get 10 hours of homework (or more) every week...pumptato-cat wrote: ↑November 1st, 2023, 5:31 am I skipped trick or treating because I had to study for q test![]()

Re: Your Daily Random Comment
I'd love to have 10 hours of homework. Unfortunately, it's more like 20-25 and don't even get me started on SO/instruments....

I suppose it usually is more than 10, but around your time or more with procrastination ... I suppose pumptato may not have factored in procrastination either, which may yield to an even higher number...pumptato-cat wrote: ↑November 6th, 2023, 11:56 am I'd love to have 10 hours of homework. Re: Your Daily Random Comment
A normal person who wanted to know the portions at a restaurant might just call the restaurant (eg. how many scoops of rice in different sizes), someone like me would put the nutritional information into a spreadsheet and reverse engineer the portions. Guess if you were really extra, you might try to set up an over-determined system of equations and automate finding an approximate solution.

that's actually pretty smart honestly- they're legally required to provide nutrition info right? Even if they change the metric they portion by or how many scoops or whatever you can recalculate from the nutrition info without having to contact them againSchrodingerscat wrote: ↑November 7th, 2023, 3:01 pm A normal person who wanted to know the portions at a restaurant might just call the restaurant (eg. how many scoops of rice in different sizes), someone like me would put the nutritional information into a spreadsheet and reverse engineer the portions. Re: Your Daily Random Comment
Sorry for that insensitive comment. I regret the thoughtlessness I put into it.

Re: Your Daily Random Comment
It's rather insensitive to dismiss someone else's struggles by saying that you went through something worse. We're not playing the comparison game here. And as someone who soloed 6 events once, I learned very fast that how much time you have to study depends on what you do outside of school. When you juggle 3+ extracurriculars and do 5 events, it's not "manageable" unless you call going on 3 hours for a couple of months "manageable." Some of us have lives, you know.

I don't really know what to say anymore, as I don't want to defend anything. Especially on forums, things slip out without reason, even though you'd think I could go back and change something on there. After saying anything then it's hard to really be able to say anything reasonable that will get you in a better situation in any case, and it doesn't really work where you can fix previous actions that can make someone else uncomfortable. At the least, I'll edit my reply out, since there's no way to delete anything on here for whatever reason. Probably so that it's here later when we need to reflect on past mistakes. And I should definitely be careful on forums in the future, as it's not just a simple place to shoot posts away. It's a mausoleum of information that doesn't really merit thoughtless typing. And lack of thought is what I do, when I can't get at anything else .... I want anyone reading this post to know that this is sincere and I don't just want to "sound better". I hope you guys know that I can't post things on a forum without getting giddy and negligent ... it's like I don't care about others for any good reason.

Re: Your Daily Random Comment
I think I owe you an apology too. Like you said, things slip out and it's not an excuse to be like this but I've been pretty stressed lately and I guess that sort of exploded here. I'm also genuinely sorry because your comment was not so thoughtless or offensive to deserve what I said in response--hopefully we can just move on and understand that misunderstandings or slip-ups on forums happen and that it's all right
I don't mean to say that people shouldn't express their thoughts by this, and I hope no one interprets
it that way either.
