True. But I would still call 80s that I submit just to get a grade junk, as they are, and then teachers are nice about the grading.pumptato-cat wrote: ↑September 22nd, 2023, 8:02 am Well, it must not be junk, yeah?
I used to be a perfectionist. Now I just turn things in. AP classes have taught me the art of becoming lazy and not making every assignment perfection. You learn fast that 80s are better than 0s.

At a certain point 80s become good. I suppose your classes might be different? But I'd be so thankful for an 80 at this point. Not all teachers are lenient.

Possibly ... luckily I haven't gotten to that stage yet. Maybe when I'm a junior, I heard it gets really bad then.

Yeah, it gets harder later on. For example, all but two of my classes don't accept late work(so, a 0).

I had a lot of issues with this in my first few years of college. I'd forget about a deadline and then be completely unable to do the work because my professor refused to accept it after the due date which just made my grades tank. Now I'm in classes which aren't as strict and I've never been so grateful in my life.pumptato-cat wrote: ↑September 24th, 2023, 10:14 am Yeah, it gets harder later on. Nice!
I'm really struggling. HS is worse than I thought it would be.

HS is better than I thought it would be, but I had pretty extreme expectations.

When I was in high school, I received a very nice, very large poster from UChicago in the mail. I hung it up in my bedroom for a while solely because it was so well-produced - I had absolutely no intention of going there whatsoever.
