ehhhh that was pretty mid imo, writing was a bit childish and very liberal in how much information it disclosed so early on
if you want really good space opera you should read ninefox gambit and a memory called empire, and if you liked the mystery-solving aspect of it then reading gideon the ninth -> harrow the ninth would be a good experience

I’ve got a couple book recs and none of them are related so take this in however you will:
We Were Liars(omigod so GOOD one of my best friends recommended it to me)
Going Zero(another very good thriller)
The Heartstopper webtoon(also recommended to me by the same friend after I watched the show)

Yessss We Were Liars!!!

donjuanpond,
to be quite honest I actually liked the "childish" and casual writing. I think the way he gave away information was very interesting and I did enjoy reading through it and seeing how everything was connected(keeping this vague to avoid spoilers). Thank you for the recommendations, though!

I have an entire spreadsheet of books I want to read! It’s a lot of political and historical books so heads up. I even included (legal) free versions of some of the texts!
