Re: Elevated Bridge B/C
I don't know. I wasn't able to watch any, as I had a full schedule. Maybe it was wider than the Standard Minimum clearance, so that the block fit between it.

Re: Elevated Bridge B/C
There's now a picture of the safety tower in the image gallery. One detail; in the photo, the tower leg bracing piece blocks your view of where the safety chain attaches to the load block. The last, lower link of the safety chain has an eye-bolt hanging down - chain attached to the eye, threaded part hanging down. Threaded part screws into the coupling nut - which you can see. Load block eye-bolt screws into the bottom of the coupling nut.croman74 wrote:Yeah I figured that it would be pretty expensive. I'd love to build Balsa Man's safety tower, but I'm still not quite picturing it.

Re: Elevated Bridge B/C
Oh, I see now. So the chain prevents the block from pulling through the bridge which usually causes other breaks. After the bridge breaks, the block and bucket just kinda hang there. Thanks for putting that picture up there. It clears things up. I'll definitely build that when I have more time.

It really helped me understand. And thank you for being willing to share it. Most people wouldn't want to share it for fear of helping the competition.smartkid222 wrote:thanks for posting the picture because it really cleared things up.

Standard minimum clearance is 7.5 cm though...croman74 wrote:I don't know. I wasn't able to watch any, as I had a full schedule. Maybe it was wider than the Standard Minimum clearance, so that the block fit between it.

I don't know! I wasn't able to see. Like I said before, it's probably a typo.
