even tho i actually made the fan that is our best, and i'm the one who works on it the most, but i'm still not in it!

Why not? Is it because of a conflict, or grade bias? If you work hard at an event, you should probably get it.

this is my first year in sci oly and it's their third

Or could it be that they're the ones doing the test part of it, and you built the actual fan so they didn't need to focus on that part?

our fan at states the high speed was 2.5m/s and the low 1.0m/s speeds. i ust got this info like 3 min ago im currently at a hotel with the rest of my team using a laptop at NY states!!! all of my events are tomorrow tough
