Welcome!

Let's start off with some basic questions!
1. Differentiate between "weather" and "climate."
2. Different climates can be compared using climate normals. What is the amount of time that a climate normal covers?
3. Explain the greenhouse effect.
4. Explain why some anthropogenic gases such as fluorinated gases contribute much more to the greenhouse effect even though their percentages in the air are much less than carbon dioxide.

lol why does no one like this event anymore :(, anyways
1.
Weather refers to short term changes in the atmosphre while Climate refers to the"average" weather conditions over a longer period of time, usually known as 30yrs
2.
30 yrs lol
3.
Earth absorbs Solar radiation and releases long wave radiation as well as reflecting some shortwave radiation, GHG's essentially "trap" this energy in the atmosphere warming it just like how an actual greenhouse works
4.
These fluorinated gases such as HFC's are man made and have an extremely high GWP(basically potency relative to that of Carbon Dioxide), around 1700 or smth iirc,
Anyways ill ask now,
1. What was the importance of the Kyoto Protocol initially not including Nitrogen Trifluoride or NF3?
2. What is an example of a negative climate feedback loop?
3. What is the Junge Layer?
