Yo, I'm headed to Science Olmpiad Texas State competition and I was wondering if anyone from some of the other states had any tips for Fosslis? Thank y'all! :P

Just read through this whole thread, theres TONS of stuff. No reason to skip to the end and ask people to repeat stuff we've posted before.

don't freak out... the stations go by fast... worse case scenario guess :D we actually guessed apple smoked beef jerky at state

The stations always seem to be shorter than they really should be.
And for some reason, I never like to put down a random answer. I always like to put one genus that's probably in the same phylum as the specimen. I guess little chance is better than no chance.

I would also say another tip would to know the order of your book so that you can get to info fast if you needed, my trademarked answer if I have no idea to the answer is to say "Chuck Norris" I also have put Chuck Norris that in valve what ever subject I am in.

According to the Audobon handbook... Graptolites and hemichordatas are closely related to fish, and they look nothing alike. Can someone explain how they're related? Thanks
