I'm not sure that Sewickely is a shoe in for first this year like last time
Both Bala Cynwyd and Shady Side seem better than last year, and I haven't seen a huge improvement in Sewickely (I'm certainly not saying that they aren't a phenomenal team), so I think that the first spot will be up for grabs.
As a member of the SE region, I know how unprecedented it is for a team to score under a hundred here. Also, Strath haven will almost certainly not be getting worse than last year as some have predicted.

Wouldn't it be a cruel twist of fate if Pentathlon decided it?!

They have been getting better and better this year
at the beginning of the year, we beat them once, and then they haven't shown weakness yet
they were ahead by like 20 @ regionals

I go to Strath Haven. I'm honored that you think this, but I do think that we may drop a little bit this year. Maybe I'm just being pessimistic, but for whatever reason, I just don't feel as confident this year as I was last year.

in any case i still think sewickley's gonna claim first. not only are they amazing, but they're all so full of team spirit its crazy!! they work so hard cuz they want to and they like doing it, not just so they can win. well, thats how some of them are...

I don't know if we can match our results from last year, but I think you're worrying just a bit much.

Who, if anyone, might be a surprise? By what SW people are telling us Peters Township is amazing ;) , but who else? Anyone from SE outside Bala Cynwyd, Strath Haven, Welsh Valley, and Unami have a shot?

And I think Strath Haven will get 4th, partly because I think Stroudsburg dropped pretty far this year. Plus, you weren't too far behind BC, and were quite a bit ahead of Welsh Valley if I'm not mistaken.

Unfortunately, I agree with my teammates. It won't be huge, but we won't do as well as last year. And Stroudsburg is not my only concern, Grerater Nanticoke, Welsh, Unami, J.T. Lambert and Whitehall - Coplay are threats as well.
Strath Haven MS:
2008: Regionals-3, States-5
2009: Regionals-2, States-4
2010: Regionals-1, States-2, Nationals-19 :)
2011 (Co-captain): Regionals-1, States-1, Nationals-11 :D

Nationals: Aquifers-37, Compute This-13, Dynamic Planet-25, Ecology-6, Experimental Design-7, Junkyard-33

Moving to C...
