tell me about it. last year, i couldn't do WIDI cuz disease detectives was at the same time, and so my doer got put with a girl who i love to pieces, but who was really really confused cuz she hadn't ever been in the event. then this year, i had a different doer at a couple of comps. i was so very very sad.

I hate your state cause they use legos.

My team thanks to me will have a box of random stuff with almost no building sets that we will use for WIDI cause this year state comp used cups toothpicks pipecleaners, paperclip, beads, BBQ skewers, and bobby pins(Girls use in hair).

Ugh, the problem with random materials is that unless the sups are very careful, the models end up different from each other :-P

Our regionals always has junk. This year it was built off of a take-home-your-leftovers-from-a-restaurant tray.

that just depends on the competition that you're at. this year, ive written about legos, magnetix, zoob somethin' or rather (i don't know what they're really called), knex, lincoln logs, random stuff (your paper plates, cups, straws, toothpicks, etc.), and i think some tinker toys at one point.

Wow that's a lot of stuff. Well then, more things to practice with and prepare for. I was also wondering, do they ever use glue and tape and stuff like that? :)

well at my regional they had these toothpick things with grooves in them and you had to stick the toothpicks together. the models had glue on them but the doers were not given glue so it was like impossible for the structure to stay together. It was sooo unfair :x
Events this year:

Forensics
Disease
I am extremely mad that Experimental is not at regionals!

That is unfair but you know what, I don't think they can do something like that at state, well at least I hope they don't. :D
