Rules:
- The officers will be the first five to follow the instructions in the clue below. Put a bit of thought in first, though: if you haven’t been around very long, it is less likely that you will be able to identify the Assassinator or the targets.
- There will be no “informants”, but anyone may post.
- People will die. Once they have died, they may post one and only one “ghost post”. This post may be about anything, including clue solutions.
- The Assassinator will post clues which plainly point to their next victim, and may also contain clues about their identity. Each clue will target one and only one victim, unless the Assassinator specifies otherwise.
- Officers will be allowed 48 hours after each clue to protect a user, and must use the template “I protect [username] because [reason].”
- Each officer may protect one person per clue. They may not change their protect mid-clue, unless the Assassinator specifies otherwise.
- Each time an officer correctly protects someone, they earn one “accusation”, which you can later use to accuse a user of being the Assassinator. Officers start with zero accusations.
- To accuse someone of being the Assassinator, you must say “I accuse [username] of being the Assassinator because [reasoning].” You may only accuse if you have an accusation available. If you accuse someone incorrectly, the accused user will die.
- The officers will win if someone correctly identifies the Assassinator. The Assassinator will win if 10 people die—whether by the Assassinator’s hand or by incorrect accusation.
- The Assassinator will continue to post with their normal account, and may provide hints there.
- Neither HugoTroop nor Creationist127 may accuse or help solve ID clues, as they both know the Assassinator’s identity. They may be officers or help out with kill clues, if they wish.
- If the Assassinator does not reply 5 days after the previous clue was given, each officer will be given a free accusation. This accusation must be used the next time the officer posts, and may not be stored up for later.
- The Assassinator reserves the right to add to these rules later, if necessary.
