I think I heard the name enough at awards ceremonies that it stuck in my brain.

I've never been to a competition with Syosset, so I wouldn't know, but I've always said SYO-set.EastStroudsburg13 wrote: ↑June 11th, 2020, 7:15 amhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2GfE2g7aK7A

I think the poll had an option for "sai-OH-sit," which sounds similar if you say it out loud (English spelling is great, isn't it?).EastStroudsburg13 wrote: ↑June 11th, 2020, 5:00 am Regarding the Syosset poll, I was always under the impression that it was sigh-AW-sit. Not sure if that fit under any option so I'm throwing it here.![]()
It was sai-OH-set. Which is similar, but not quite correct.SilverBreeze wrote: ↑June 11th, 2020, 11:49 amI think the poll had an option for "sai-OH-sit," which sounds similar if you say it out loud (English spelling is great, isn't it?).EastStroudsburg13 wrote: ↑June 11th, 2020, 5:00 am Regarding the Syosset poll, I was always under the impression that it was sigh-AW-sit. I believe the term is recording. I believe the question was originally along the lines of a scioly convention. Is it plausible?SilverBreeze wrote: ↑June 11th, 2020, 11:49 amI think the poll had an option for "sai-OH-sit," which sounds similar if you say it out loud (English spelling is great, isn't it?).EastStroudsburg13 wrote: ↑June 11th, 2020, 5:00 am Regarding the Syosset poll, I was always under the impression that it was sigh-AW-sit. Certain people (such as myself) have a sensitivity to certain aldehydes in cilantro that also appear in dish soaps. To most people, cilantro has a pleasant tangy/citrusy flavor but others think it tastes like dish soap.
