Infinite Campus kills me whenever I miss something that´s the first thing my mom checks lolMadCow2357 wrote: ↑April 18th, 2020, 6:28 pm My school's schedule could be the strangest of all. We have 7 periods each day with a 7 day rotation. Essentially, on Day 1 we drop Period A, attending the B, C, D, E, F, and G period classes. On Day 2, we drop B, so we have to go to A, C, D, E, F, and G and etc. The rotation makes sense, but the order in which we have each period seems to be completely random (it's not like we have B first on Day 1, and then C first on Day 2) - and G period is last 5 out of the 7 days. There's no good way to keep track of what class you should be attending other than completely memorizing the schedule, an option which unfortunately requires brainpower I do not possess. The weirdest part is the fact that we use a 7 day rotation, so asking what "day" it has become a question is asked almost every 5 minutes before and during first period. Oh, and we also start at 9:00 instead of 8:30 on Tuesdays - I appreciate the extra time to sleep, but it can be hard to keep track of too lol
On a more unrelated note, is it just me that thinks the Aspen software is terrible? My old district uses Infinite campus, which I also disliked, but Aspen could be even worse. Not to mention the poorly-designed web filtering software that most districts in America seem to use... *cough* iBoss *cough* contentkeeper *cough*

To be fair, my parents don't care what I do with my life as along as I pass ASIAN STANDARDS; and this means a minimum of A out of an A, so that's fine by me. Also, I was wondering if any of you guys knew your school rank so far.sneepity wrote: ↑April 19th, 2020, 1:25 pmInfinite Campus kills me whenever I miss something that´s the first thing my mom checks lolMadCow2357 wrote: ↑April 18th, 2020, 6:28 pm My school's schedule could be the strangest of all. I'm 2/348. Trying not to flex.
Also, had a question.
I wanted a wider scope of individuals answering so I posted it on here.Hey everyone,
I was thinking about writing some tests in my region, but since I need some volunteer hours for National Honors Society, if I log my hours apporpriately, do you guys think I can get volunteer hours from test writing? Thanks!

I'm white, And we usually follow that approximate schedule... Except it ranges anywhere between 6 PM and 11 PM...MoMoney$$$;)0) wrote: ↑April 19th, 2020, 11:05 amMy Indian Decent probably has something to do with it. Personally I like to eat late lunch since I'm usually not hungry like at 12:00, so I would really like a 2 o'clock lunch time.

This happens to me a lot more often than I'd like to admit, especially on weekdays. It doesn't help that I'm almost never hungry unless it's around 2 PM.pepperonipi wrote: ↑April 19th, 2020, 12:05 pm jc, do you guys ever forget to eat? Especially during scioly season I seldom eat lunch, since that's when we fly/launch and the other people like me around to help them out (since 5 years or experience is good, and I can help if something breaks apart), however If we want a big area to use we have to use the gym, but it's used after school by sports, and that means that we don't get flying time until 9PM (until 11 PM), but most of the freshman (who are on the B/C team) aren't committed enough to go at night, so we fly at lunch. But that usually means not eating lunch though. I guess you win some you lose some.Fyren wrote: ↑April 19th, 2020, 4:21 pmThis happens to me a lot more often than I'd like to admit, especially on weekdays. Re: Your Daily Random Comment
I forgot to mention something important relating to that: we also start like, twenty minutes later on Fridays so that teachers can have a meeting in the morning. If we have a day off (usually Mondays) then we'll have a Monday Friday, and we just follow the Monday schedule. However, this means that the first class of the day is a tad bit truncated because we start later.CookiePie1 wrote: ↑April 18th, 2020, 5:23 pmthat sounds like a cool idea if every schoolweek was 5 full days, but what happens when you get days off or you have half days?jaspattack wrote: ↑April 18th, 2020, 5:21 pm We have four classes per day, but our schedule is very strange. The first three classes of the day are an hour and a half (thereabouts), but after the third class we have a 45 ish minute study hall. After that, we have a short class that's closer to 55 minutes in length. We have a block schedule with a/b days for every class except the final class of the day, which we have every day but Friday. On Fridays we do a special kind of punishment known as Fast Fridays, where we have all six of our normal classes, but for shorter periods of time so that we can have each class for the same amount of time each week. The class lengths I have here might not be exact, though. I time my classes by when the bell rings, not how long the class actually takes.
Being a freshman here was fun.
Relating to the lunch conversation, we have four separate lunch periods because our school is pretty big. The first one takes place after the second class but before the third, and each period starts right after the last one ends. This means that if you have second or third lunch you go to class, break for lunch, and then go back to class. It can get pretty frustrating if you're working and then you have to get up and go eat.

Question for Administrators/Staff: Are you guys keeping the competition forums for next year, or are you going to lock them out and start fresh again next year?
Suggestion for Administrators/Staff: Why not show up of on you Profile, an option, where you can say how long you have participated in Science Olympiad so far, or in total during your years you did it. Thoughts?

That'd be a cool thing for current competitors like in replace of the "contact" when a user posts.
