Regardless, still a pain to wipe everything down after it was in the rain/snow.
That's a fair point... wet plastic sucks anyways...

Yeah snow is so awesome

Every time my team gets to go some place cold we always hope it will snow
Unome, windu and I went for dinner and ice cream after Solon Invitational this past season, there was a flurry coming down at that time, and both of them told me they both hated snowstorms and would never be able to live with the Midwestern weather :p Apparently they both also thought my winter driving skills were questionable hehe, although the drive to Solon from West Lafayette is like 6 hours long and I’m obviously still alive

Fun part of that weekend was driving windu to the Cleveland airport at 4am bc the hotel nicholasmaurer put us in at apparently didn’t offer early enough airport shuttle service heh. I basically walked to my car in my pajamas, dropped him off, drove back to the hotel, and went back to sleep for another few hours before heading home (got to stop by OSU to say hi to SOnerd along the way!).

Yeah, it is fun - seven members of the staff were at MIT Invitational 2020, we even have a picture of unome being carried hehe

lol I sooo wanna get in on that when I graduate... Unfortunately there isn't super big invitationals where I'm at. Boyceville's big but it's not the same as MIT or Solon.

I mean, the biggest invite in Idaho had 7 B teams and 2 C teams this year, and the biggest invite I've ever been to had ~25 teams per division, so...

I have no regrets.

Don't get me wrong I'm definitely not complaining, but it's kinda a dream of mine to write a test, or just be at a super big invy. The biggest I've been to and competed at have been Boyceville, UWRF, and UMICH. Don't get me wrong, they're all great invitationals and I love them a lot. There's just something inside of me though where I really want to see how I personally along with my team stack up against the best competition in the nation.

EDIT: I was also thinking it'd be cool if Scioly.org made a youtube series with some prominent staff and members talking about the competition, sharing stories, practice tips and ideas. Just an idea though.
