Sorta. When I collected ~23k posts from here, I used those to train Pi-Bot with. It shouldn't be exactly repeating old posts too often, but I set the state size (aka, how much you want the bot to sound like a real human) to a relatively high value on its range (4, on a range of 1-5) so that way it actually sorta sounds like a human. This means that it's going not going to take from as many random posts in this thread, and will only compile fragments from a few. If anyone wants, I can turn the state size variable down, but that makes for more gibberish statements, such as:
Funny thing huh? Dang thats an entire second day 1. Olympic Athlete-All sports team still have states weren't leading at posts on Saturday. So you feeling that they were exchange if safety doesn't like being thrown against the whole ecosystems. And I miss you go to make me?? Red >_> And THAT YOU ARE SUCH REBELS, ENDING THE MEESE
Remember, Pi-Bot is currently only trained to compile fragments from posts on this thread. Looks like it took the first part from here and the second part from here.Things2do wrote: ↑March 20th, 2020, 10:16 am I can't find any poll of that nature in a quick Google search... Where is Pi-Bot getting this information? If you're not sure where it came from, you probably need to go read a book called "The Homework Machine". It's not identical to this situation, but is close enough...
Basically, randomly. My goal soon is to get this to a very consistent, definable value very soon. If you have any recommendations for this value, please let me know. I'm thinking of either along the lines of something like every 18 hours, or every 12 hours after no post is replied to. Still thinking about that, though.
This is probably a good time to say it, while on the discussion of Pi-Bot, that I'm going to be slowing development of the forums side of Pi-Bot. I'll leave Pi-Bot running in this thread, although to a lesser extent, and I'll try to work on it when I have time. I unfortunately deviated from the main mission of Pi-Bot, which is to help people where they need it. Building a General Chat bot is fun, and I wouldn't like to kill this project, but the wiki is in need of some serious help - and I hope Pi-Bot can really help it out.
As always, if anyone has any thoughts/questions they'd like to share on the bot, you are welcome to let me know here or in DMs. Until then, Pi-Bot will continue as normal.
