I don't think you guys could legally call it a Science Olympiad Virtual State Competition. If you're doing such a thing you're gonna have to change the name most likely.

Also, severe lack of Division C tests on there. I would think there should be more seeing how most of the kids that dropped on here are div c anyways, so either keep is so its not restricted to alums or find a crap ton of alumni to help out with this.

Do you think Scioly cares? People write tests for the forums the same way they write for a competition: by calling an event by its name. I'm not sure of the copyright rules, but I see this as no different than sharing a large number of tests to the forums.

Is it possible to open this "science competition" to schools of any state? just have a mega-nationals or something lol

I'd suggest for Div C competitors to write for Div B, and alum to write for Div C. This would avoid any conflict of interest between the test writers and the competitors.

That's a great idea! We should see about organizing that.

This is true, maybe the best option at this point is to try to contact our regional coordinators with our plan and see what they can do with it... they do have some influence.

In my opinion, the test writer for each event should be the one that is the most qualified, not the first one to sign up.

That would be great, but how do you determine qualifications? National placements could be a start, but that is largely dependent on partners and which team you happen to be on. Perhaps if too many people sign up for an event, we can have some sort of process to determine qualifications. Anyway this is just for fun, so I don't think we should be too worried about it.

I think you should make the slots for test writers unlimited. Then once everyone has signed up start to dwindle the people to the more experienced or knowledgeable ones.
