Network Timeouts

If/When you get a network timeout / scioly.org won't load or something of that nature, please post here when you can. Please also specify when it happened.

If you don't have a problem, don't post.

At around 7 p.m. (EST) the site wouldn't load normally. It was a white page with a few links to a few topics. I hope there isn't any problem and I hope that my description helps. Thanks!

That actually happens to me fairly often. Usually, the first few seconds that I'm on have it in that format. Then, it goes to the regular format. I've never really cared, and I've always assumed it was something with Opera, because Opera does some weird things on some other sites too. Now that you say that though, maybe I'm wrong.

I'm using Mozilla, and this has never happened to me before.

It's because Opera does layout and redrawing as it loads a website, while other browsers are so slow graphically that they will only try to redraw when a site is completely loaded (though you can change this). The "problem" is just that the page's content is loaded, but the stylesheet (which describes the appearance on everything on the site) has not.

I have experienced many times where the style sheet failed to load. Clicking "refresh" once or twice has always fixed it.

I was looking at the assassinator thread then I pressed board index and there were these links(Study,Building) for like 30 seconds then it went back to normal. It happened at 2:12.

Yes it only happened that one time but I guess it's back to normal.

Something weird just happened, I clicked the board index and everything was links for a few seconds then it went back to normal.
