I don't have the exact scores off the top of my head, but the top 3 were very close and all over 2000 if I recall.
My daughter's team from Pioneer HS, (Ann Arbor, MI) took first with ~2150. ~9.3g holding the entire weight.

In other news... there was exactly .01 gram difference in boom weight between #1 and #2 in Boom Div B at Centerville. Both carried full load. Both estimated they would carry full load. Very close to an unbreakable tie.

I suppose that's a weakness of the full-load bonus - that it drives people to optimize to a place where ties are more likely.

Over the years I've seen a few really bad scale related issues at Invitationals. At least the Centerville scale was accurate to its level of precision. We use a milligram accurate scale which is very expensive, and I certainly don't expect to see that at events, but a reasonable quality scale to 0.01 g should be used. Those are < $20. They are probably only accurate to 0.03-0.05g, but that is still better than 0.1g. Competing at a high level in this event is all about precision in every aspect, it would be nice to see a reflection of that at more competitions with something as simple as a decent scale.

We don't bother recording things to the milligram level, but it really helps in getting accurate readings for very light components and having a high confidence in the mass of our devices.

Speaking of bad scales, RI states used an analog pound scale that looked like it was 50 years old to weigh boomilevers - they used the same scale to weigh the sand, too. I offered for them to borrow my 0.01 scale but they refused, and continued guessing weights (in pounds)

. And that's how my 9g boomi was recorded as 22g...
