Yes, but don't read too much into that, Northville has had at least one team compete here every year for the last 5 years and have never placed first.Oblivion wrote: ↑January 26th, 2020, 4:09 pmDid troy athens beat northville?dcambrid wrote: ↑January 25th, 2020, 4:41 pm Eastside Invitational @ Stevenson High School

At Eastside? Quite uncompetitive scores in build events, aside from the top few.

Re: Michigan 2020
Well, for Wright Stuff: First place was like 156 seconds, second place was in the 70s... then it really tapered off
For Gravity Vehicles: Low teens for the top teams
I cant recall any other event's scores with a degree of certainty. Im intrigued if anyone knows the top Boomilever scores?

Ooops, just looking at last years results and I guess Northville did win last year. Once again though I don't think that they really stack their teams or take all of their top students to Eastside.dcambrid wrote: ↑January 26th, 2020, 5:35 pmYes, but don't read too much into that, Northville has had at least one team compete here every year for the last 5 years and have never placed first.Oblivion wrote: ↑January 26th, 2020, 4:09 pmDid troy athens beat northville?dcambrid wrote: ↑January 25th, 2020, 4:41 pm Eastside Invitational @ Stevenson High School

Re: Michigan 2020
Ayy! Someone recognized us! Swinging for 6th place as a team goal. Looking at the field is kind of scary. Saline edged us in Frankenmuth last year, but in my (incredibly biased) opinion, I think we are a fair bit better than last year, however I have no clue how Saline is doing this year (I hope well, they seemed like nice kids). I personally look forward to the quality of competition. Here's my top 10 SCHOOLS :gz839918 wrote: ↑January 22nd, 2020, 2:30 pmCenterville isn't going to UMichigan, but I agree Pioneer and Northville will definitely place well. Also, could I ask, what made you place West Michigan Aviation Academy competitive around 9-12?Oblivion wrote: ↑January 20th, 2020, 6:15 pmDiv C U of M predicictions:multiverse42 wrote: ↑December 15th, 2019, 2:46 pm Edit: Team Numbers for UMich are out, division C looks like a packed field, between Pioneer, Northville, Saline, Troy Athens, WMAA, DCD, Forest Hills, East Lansing, Centreville(OH), Carmel, Munster, Lake Central and John Adams. Is a month too early for predictions?
1. Centerville (both of their teams will prob be top 4)
2. Pioneer (both teams prob top 10)
3. Northville (^)
4. Centerville
5. Carmel
6. Pioneer
7. Munster
8. Saline
9-12. DCD, WMAA, Northville, and Carmel
It's definitely reasonable to place Northville's B team where you did, but last year they only got 10th, and this year will likely be more competitive. Saline and Menomonie are also forces to be reckoned with, and I'd place them around 4-10. UMich certainly is going to be intense this year.
1.Pioneer
2.Northville
3. Carmel
4.Munster
5.Saline
6.Menomonie
7.DCD
8.WMAA
9. Troy-Athens
10. Canton
EDIT: ***This is a VERY optimistic top 10 for me*** (I really see us in the more 9-10 range)

Re: Michigan 2020
I don't know about Saline "edging you guys" as they won by 50 points, but I do think that Saline should be a bit higher along with maybe Troy-Athens. I predict that either Saline or Munster will also shock everyone and beat Pioneer, Northville, and/or Carmel.BennyTheJett wrote: ↑January 27th, 2020, 7:02 pmAyy! Someone recognized us! Re: Michigan 2020
Yeah, we also weren't a full stack at Frankenmuth last year, so I think they'dve edged if we were at full power. I wouldn't be surprised if any team in the top 5 won honestly, it's such a tossup with the level of competition at the top, and 1 bombed event could make all the difference.
