1. What is the reason for screening in sewage treatment?
2. Explain what curio collection is and how it is detrimental to marine ecosystems.
3. Why are reef-building corals usually sensitive to turbidity?

1. Screening removes rags, debris, and other large solids 2. Curio collection is where people collect coral, shells, and other marine objects to sell as souvenirs. It can be damaging because many animals are removed from the ocean and coral reefs are damaged in the process. 3. Because their zooxanthellae need sunlight to do photosynthesis. Turbidity can result in coral bleaching.

1. Evaporation: water changes from a liquid to a gas, Sublimation: water changes directly from a solid to a gas, without entering its liquid phase, Transpiration: water evaporation from plant leaves (through stomata)
2. Chlorine kills pathogens in water
3. liquid waste or sewage flowing into a river or sea (possibly from an industrial plant)
