As of now, no room information has been released (to my knowledge). And in the past, I believe IU did not open it the night before, but since states is at Purdue this year it might be different.
IU has never released rooms until week of the tournament when they have hosted state, although some spaces generally remain the same from year to year such as Mellencamp Pavilion being used for flight events. My guess is that if the state board decided to be sensical with their room choices, they would have tried to get Mollenkopf Athletic Center for Wright Stuff - it's like Purdue's version of Mellencamp yet it's not ultra far away from the rest of campus. If not Mollenkopf, the next most sensical choice of location would be Lambert Fieldhouse. I hope for y'all's sakes that it doesn't get stuck in the CoRec, that place most likely isn't big enough to host all the teams for that event.

This looks like Carmel may be falling off, along with LC! It looks like their study events have really dropped off, and their builds are always questionable (to say the least). May we be looking at the new state champs already? I would bet on it :P

Hey y'all, div C kid here from a smaller school in IN (rip we usually don't make it to States). Anyway, I wouldn't go as far to bet on new States Champs already but Carmel didn't show up in their studies like they usually do  and as always, their builds are pretty bad. Bloomington North pulled off a big win (24 points!) so I agree, they definitely could be States winners. They're already overtaking Carmel in all builds and a lot of studies.

Personally, I'm rooting for John Adams! They're already up there with Carmel and I'm always a fan of the underdog. I think they can do this.

I would say Carmel did pretty good in this tournament. IIRC they bring their freshman teams here? (correct me if I'm wrong) so it's impressive that they did this well against regular teams.
8th grade events: Mission Possible and Hovercraft.
High School: Codebusters, Designer genes, Gravity Vehicle, Mission Possible, Machines, Ping Pong Parachute, Boomilever, Protein Modeling.

It's been a heck of a ride, vortexx out.

Unless Carmel freshmen can grow full beards, I feel like it is safe to say they may not have only been pitching their freshmen. If they do, I'd like to know what they put in that cafeteria food.

2 things.

1, it was South not North.
2, 24 points really is not that much in the grand scheme of things, especially when you consider Carmel also took 3rd.
2018: Battery Buggy, Road Scholar, Roller Coaster
2019: Chem Lab, Code, Disease, Fossils, Geo Maps, Sounds
2020 and 2021: Astro, Chem Lab, Code, Fossils, Geo Maps, Sounds

Oops buddy, honest mistake...

Either way, BHS South didn't stack and from the who I talked to at Whiting, they were also missing a lot of people. If the other people in the forum are right and Carmel did bring vets, then that puts them at even competition (actually, Carmel would have the advantage?). Also, 24 points is a lot compared to the two points that separated Carmel and Munster at States and 18 points that separated Carmel and BHSS; for these teams, I'd say it's quite a lot.

They're still South, but anyways if that was Carmel's full team they still had the more impressive performance imo because they were that close seemingly unstacked while South apparently stacked.

It appears that Bloomington South stacked their teams, when you look at how their purple team did compared to the Panther team. Carmel very likely did not bring their veterans and (I think this was stated somewhere in last year's thread) they use the earlier invites as a way for freshmen/underclassmen to learn the system and get acclimated to competition.
Also, the superscores of the 2 teams tell a different story compared to the 24 point difference between the stacked and unstacked school.
[EDIT] Bloomington South superscore at Whiting: 89
Carmel superscore at Whiting: 80
