Thanks that makes a lot more sense1uwu1 said:
The CDs have a bunch of handouts and other materials in them that are really useful when preparing for the even since most ESs end up asking questions from the handouts. I know Water Quality CD does not have any audio, but other events might (like I think the Ornithology CD might have some recordings since identifying bird calls is part of the event). Also, the usefulness of the CD can depend on the event it is for since some events have more or less material that can be learned through handouts than others. I hope that helps!

Ehh, I'd know what they are, but the likeliness of being tested on them again is not extremely likely. I've never been tested on them.

Mangrove forests are an estuary habitat, so putting some ecological interactions and organisms on your cheatsheet may not be a bad idea, although it's not a particularly common topic. They'd probably be more likely to come up if you're in a state like Florida or something, where they're more common.
EDIT: Does anyone know if a question marathon for Water Quality already exists?
EDIT: Now it does.

Re: Water Quality B/C
I suppose you could claim it as part of your salinometer, but I think that the supervisor might not let it in, just because it might seem pointless. I'd find another method.

If your salinometer keeps tipping over, you can add more clay(or other material, depending on what you're using for weight) to stabilize it, or mold the clay into a more stable shape if it consistently leans one direction. Just don't add enough clay that it might hit the bottom of the beaker.BennyTheJett wrote: I suppose you could claim it as part of your salinometer, but I think that the supervisor might not let it in, just because it might seem pointless. Re: Water Quality B/C
In the Div C practice test on soinc, how are you supposed to do #7 and 8 about calculating BOD? The answer key makes no sense.

Re: Water Quality B/C
I Googled the formula for BOD and used that. I believe the answer key is using different numbers, maybe from an older draft of the test. If you ignore the weird data values, their formula is correct.Girlpower05 wrote: In the Div C practice test on soinc, how are you supposed to do #7 and 8 about calculating BOD?
