Here are mine:
Boomilever: 6th-1900 1st-2300
Gravity vehicle: 6th-20 1st-7
PPP: 6th-11s 1st-23s
Wright Stuff (combined): 6th-2:00 1st: 3:45
Seems pretty solid but may be high for this time of the year...especially when people are grinding for their SATs

I’d agree, those seems a biiiiit high for right now, especially based on what I heard were top scores at Cornell. Although I’m sure WWPN/S will shake things up at least a little !
Should be exciting to see! I’ll prob write predictions at some point over the weekend lol

I mean 7 for gravity and 23 for ppp is kind of attainable but we won't get 2.3k in boomi :(

Even though we only have one invitational to base really any results off of, I may as well drop some predictions for fun and discussion lol. These shouldn’t be taken too seriously due to not too many results, but I’ll do my best!

1. West Windsor-Plainsboro North - So idk which WWPN team will come out above the other, but I’m sure it will be one of them. They obviously had outstanding results last year, and with the strong freshman from Community coming in, a WWPN win seems likely to me.

2. Bayard Rustin A - Rustin had a very strong Cornell finish, even with a 41st in Astronomy, so I’m sure with that amended they can pull out a strong finish at LISO. Overall they’re a super strong team who I think can definitely get 2nd (or maybe even better??) at LISO! It can all come down to how the next team does though.

3. West Windsor-Plainsboro South - I would’ve put them at 2nd but sciolyperson1 suggested they’d be weaker due to losses from the SAT, so I’m putting them here. Their strength is definitely variable though, as they’re coming off of a great nationals performance, so I can definitely see them being one of the top teams at LISO even if they’re missing some members, possibly taking over Rustin.

4. WWPN Team 2 - Even if North unstacks, they have potential to absolutely kill it (seen in last years LISO results) so I can see their second team placing this high, or even higher.

5. Ward Melville A - Ward Melville had a great season last year, culminating with a much deserved nationals appearance, and I’m sure they’ll be able to harness some of the strength from the incoming Gelinas class, which also had a great season last year. I can see them overtaking WWPS based on how many people they’re missing.

6. Lower Merion - Lower Merion has a great unstacked superscore at Cornell, beating our team score by 7. If they stack, they have basically limitless potential. I’m not sure how their results will be affected by the potential people taking the SAT, but if their results are anything like we saw at Cornell, I think 6th is a good spot for them.

7. Syosset A - Syosset did very well at Cornell, and I could see them taking a really high placement at LISO, but I’m only gonna rank them here because I’m not so sure how to compare them with the other teams here, especially account for the WWP unstack. It’s hard to judge based on Cornell results. And yes, they lost to us at Cornell, but their extremely impressive states and LISO last year performance lead me to believe that they will only be going up as the season goes on.

8. WWPS Team 2 - Since supposedly WWPS is getting hit hard by the SAT and other stuff, the unstacked second South team may not topple Lower Merion, but they will still do incredibly, and I think 8th works for them.

9. Cumberland Valley A - Assuming they stack, this team has huge potential to be very powerful, and I think they fit in well at 9th. They did very well at PA states last year, and I think are only gonna be looking to harness some of that momentum moving into 2020. It’s pure conjecture though, as we haven’t seen anything from them this year. Their results could swing either way.

10. Kellenberg A - I’m putting my team here because we did pretty well at Cornell, even with our extremely unfortunate Gravity Vehicle placement. We are definitely looking to carry that momentum into LISO. Are we ready to go toe to toe with more top teams?? We shall see, but I was incredibly happy with our team consistency at Cornell, and if we can pull something similar off at LISO, we may be even able to reach above 10th!! I sure hope so, and maybe the droppage of three events will probably help us even more. Let’s hope I just didn’t curse us into getting 11th lol

Some more teams to watch out for that I can see piercing the top 10!! It’s hard to rank these teams since they have no results from this year, but anything can happen.

1. Stuyvesant - coming off a great state finish, I just didn’t rank them higher since I have no results for them. They can definitely do really well, and I can easily see them breaking into the top 10!!

2. Great Neck South - a traditionally very strong program, I can see powerful results from them based off of how they always do.

3. The Mount Academy - another really strong team, I know their team was up and coming last year, and I can see them harnessing such power into this season.

4. Townsend Harris - I underranked them in my NYS predictions last year, and I wanna emphasize that this is a strong team! They can definitely do well coming off of momentum from 8th place.

Did I get it right? No? Even close? Let me know what you think! Best of luck to every team this weekend, it’s definitely gonna be really exciting to be a part of!!

What place did Great Neck South and The Mount Academy come at NY State last year? I can't seem to find the results as Ezra went through and cleaned out everything. Unosmium also doesn't have any NY results.

IIRC 6 and 7. I think GNS was 6th.
Edit: GNS was actually 7th
