Which teams are stacking? North and South both aren't, but what about rustin, wm, lm, and CV?Name wrote: ↑November 24th, 2019, 3:02 pm Superscored predictions:
1. WWPN
2. WWPS
3. Bayard
4. Ward Melville
5. Lower Merion
6. CV
7/8/9 in no particular order Kellenberg/Stuyvesant/Syosset
10. Another NY team (like GNS or Townsend Harris or Mount Academy)
I don't think WWPN/S will win because i'm pretty sure they're unstacking, but their superscores should be first and second (wouldn't be surprised if S beats N). Bayard/Ward/LM are in the second tier of teams here where I think they're clearly better then the lower teams but unlikely to beat WWPN/S's superscores. I think CV will beat the other NY teams but probably won't beat LM. Syo and Stuy were pretty similar last year so I wouldn't be surprised if it went either way. Prior to Cornell, I would've put Kellenberg one tier lower in the group that could be tenth, but they did really well at Cornell. Can they do similarly at LISO?
Good Luck to everyone!

With these predictions are you making your prediction on all 23 events or just the team's best 20 events?Fermilegend wrote: These 3 teams are going to be incredibly close and one bomb could easily put a team behind.
What are your thoughts? I've been dying to see more predictions.
Also the results of this competition going forward may be less helpful since some students may be taking the SAT on that day.

I was predicting based on all 23--I forgot that LISO drops your worst 3 events, that's my bad.GoldenKnight1 wrote: ↑November 24th, 2019, 4:11 pmWith these predictions are you making your prediction on all 23 events or just the team's best 20 events?Fermilegend wrote: These 3 teams are going to be incredibly close and one bomb could easily put a team behind.

Re: 2020 LISO Invitational (Long Island, NY) Div B & C
Just some overall predictions for LISO C:
Teams are noted twice if they are unstacked, once if they are stacked. A lot of teams are missing people for SAT/other activities, so some teams are lower (like South) or higher than they should be. In addition, these predictions include the dropped 3 events. This would mean that Rustin, for example, would do better (as they only placed poorly in a minimal amount of their events at Cornell), vs if a team didn't do great in more than 3 events across the board. (Also want to add that I'm not trying to hold grudges or anything so sorry if your team's lower than you think it is).
A lot of these results are also based on Cornell results; they shouldn’t be hugely different as they’re only 2 weeks apart. If there's small issues with who's stacked/who's not or anything like that just lmk.
WWP N B - 154
Looks kinda slightly stacked based off the roster, I wasn't going to put ourselves first but many other teams had members missing for SAT. North has some pretty nice freshmen coming from CMS though. @sine
Bayard Rustin - 169
Based off of Cornell results, Rustin looks pretty strong. They're still missing some key team members as well as team members for SAT, but I trust that they'll do just as well as they did at Cornell.
Ward Melville - 177
Second stacked team on the list. Still looking great after a strong 2nd place NY finish, and 3rd team finish at LISO last year.
WWP N A - 182
Other WWP North team; looks a little weaker than the other North team but will probably still do pretty decently.
Kellenberg - 185
Coming off of a strong finish at Cornell. The team looks strong and overall dropping 3 events would probably slightly benefit them.
WWP S A - 190
Would obviously put them higher but according to a guy from south, "Half the good ppl are taking the sat". Wouldn't be surprised if they did better than 190 points and popped it off though.
Cumberland Valley A - 191
Unstacked, also coming off of a great PA states finish last year. Not quite sure if they're missing people for SAT, but overall looking pretty solid.
Syosset - 192
I put them just under Kellenberg in terms of score. They placed under 20th in 4? events at Cornell so dropping 3 would benefit them a bunch.
Lower Merion A - 231
Did decently at Cornell unstacked (212 superscore vs 340 and 350). Looks weak unstacked but will be strong if stacked.
Cumberland Valley B - 231
Lower Merion B - 247

Seems pretty solid but may be high for this time of the year...especially when people are grinding for their SATs
