Ava comes principally from a variant of the name Eva, which came from Latin, from Greek, and ultimately from Hebrew, from the name Eve (the biblical character; source 1, 2). Apparently, the name Avalon comes from a Celtic language, but aside from this one really old source, the only recent thing I could find was this unpublished manuscript, so I guess maybe they don't share a common ancestor?? Ok I just realized I didn't read the rules properly AGAIN and that it's not the first two people to PM the sassy to be evil...
