Team Event Average Qualified For Nationals

All I know is my school has won State for 19 out of 21 years and highest place at Nationals was 5th. Only the 1st place team advances.

1st place averaged 4.77
2nd place averaged 5.05
3rd place (which is probably more important if you're looking for what average you have to beat to qualify) averaged 6.91

Div C:
1st place averaged 4.78
2nd place averaged 7
3rd place averaged 7.57

I thought only the person who got 1st went, and if they backed out, 2nd would be invited....

It depends on the state. States with more teams get to send 2 teams.

only the first place team goes to nats in my states.

this year the winning team had exactly 100 points with an average of 4

second place had 138 point with an average of 5.52.

third place had 182 points with an average of 7.28.

fourth place had 210 points with an average of 8.4.

fifth place had 228 points with an average of 9.12.

and sixth place had 274 points with an average of 10.96.
