I can agree that the burning of the rainforest has been overexaggerated, but that DOES NOT mean climate change is not an urgent and important issue.

By the way, to whoever is reading this, chances are that you like steak. I LIKE STEAK, TOO. But if we can ALL cut down on our steak consumption, then the industry will produce less (with less demand from us consumers). PLEASE help us protect the environment by eating less beef. I'm not saying don't eat meat though - consider eating chicken more often. Chickens use only about 20% of the resources and land cows consume. Eating less beef and more chicken is cheaper for your family, and it means less methane (a potent GHG) being released into the atmosphere. Let's save this earth with one less steak at a time ;)
Ironic. He used the cow to destroy the cow.
Funny...
but what if this is a plan for people to stop eating my kind
:)
Insects are a much better subsitute for meat in general. They taste quite fricking amazing too if you add the right stuff to it in my experience. It's just that in western culture there's a huge stigma against bugs, but it's definitely improving. bugs>chickens>steaks

Let's just refresh this thread, and start anew with a different topic:

What do you think about religion being tied to politics?

I have some thoughts on this concept, so I'll try to post them in the evening (when I'm not supposed to be paying attention to a MATLAB lecture...).

I think that religion should be tied to politics if the politician wants to.

I don't care if you're religious or not. Religion should not be tied to politics in any way shape or form... The concept behind politics to represent the people of the nation. Not everyone in America holds your religious values or is religious for that matter. This is just showing abuse of the power religious institutions have to manipulate the general population. Similar to how gun owners join the NRA in hope of being responsible gun owners yet the NRA abuses its followers by using their funds and user base to benefit politicians.

I think that if you are openly religious and the people still elect you, they choose that. That's how democracy works.
