There exists a ranking system for colleges based on the chess ELO system. High school students are asked which schools they had to choose from, and which they one they chose. Real student choice data. Student choices correlate poorly with US News rankings.

Recently, MIT has become overwhelmingly dominant in the Putnam mathematics competition, and in STEM graduate school rankings.

So cool how many of these are for biomedical engineering/biotechnology/related fields! As an 8th grader, I know that is what I want to do. Are the courses at major colleges (Duke, Stanford, etc.) hard? I’ve never been challenged in school and I can’t wait for college. I qualify for a full-ride scholarship to Duke University (NC) so really hoping to get in there when it’s time.
