Wait so DP's definitely not gonna be glaciers next year?
If it's not I'm gonna be very very very very agitated.

Well everyone is saying DP is doing 1 year cycles, so I guess not... On a side note, 6th grader going into 7th for 2019 - 2020. When do the definitive events and rules come out for 2020?

I think September. On the other hand, guess the textbook I just got for Glaciers is now irrelevant.

Wow. Kind of like me for thermodynamics. 1st in state, went to nationals, and I just found out that it won't come back until 2024. Was really looking forward to another year of thermo, and was already brainstorming device improvement ideas

Yeah, was really hoping they wouldn't do this for DP though, cause they already use such obscure topics (and 1 year cycles just waste people's effort).

Officially, events for the next season are decided in the spring, so the events list as of now is probably accurate. They occasionally change between now and SOSI in mid-July, and almost never change after that. Rules tend to change significantly between the SOSI drafts and release on the Tuesday after Labor Day, so if you do see the SOSI copies I wouldn't focus too much on the details.

I believe it was 2014.
8th grade: I knew stuff about rocks, minerals, experiments, and ecosystems!
9th grade: I knew stuff about amphibians, reptiles, freshwater, and experiments!
10th grade: I knew stuff about oceanography, saltwater, birds, and fossils!
11th grade: I knew stuff about birds and fossils!
