I think they just renamed both Simple Machines and Compound Machines to Machines.kate! wrote:I thought it would be something like how Mission Possible in div C is chemical reactions but it's simple machines in div B, to match the skill level that both divisions should have, making it equal but not the same.Anomaly wrote:Really? Re: Science Olympiad Events 2019-2020
I think renaming to have the same name is most likely, possibly because it makes the rules easier to write from a logistical standpoint (there have been occasions where a change to the rules in one division wasn't made in the other division accidentally).UTF-8 U+6211 U+662F wrote:I think they just renamed both Simple Machines and Compound Machines to Machines.kate! wrote:I thought it would be something like how Mission Possible in div C is chemical reactions but it's simple machines in div B, to match the skill level that both divisions should have, making it equal but not the same.Anomaly wrote: Really? Looks like robot arm got kicked out of this rotation, that's kind of unforntunate since I was looking forward to it.

Re: Science Olympiad Events 2019-2020
Does anyone know what will be the vehicle event for Division B next year? I really hope battery buggy stays, I had some plans to add to mine, but it would be cool to ry a new type of vehicle.

Re: Science Olympiad Events 2019-2020
Sorry, it will be replaced by Mousetrap Vehicle. Don't worry, it's a fun event as well (and, if you're a 6th grader, you might have the opportunity to do Electric Vehicle C later on)kaurs wrote:Does anyone know what will be the vehicle event for Division B next year? No, it will be replaced by Mission Possible B. It's still a fun event - you can try out for that!kaurs wrote:I was hoping to try roller coaster next year. Will it stay?

Re: Science Olympiad Events 2019-2020
Thanks! I looked into mousetrap car and mission possible. They both sound very fun. Also, will there be a glider event next year? I've been looking into that too. One last question: What is sounds of music and will it ever be a division B event?
