Re: Science Olympiad Events 2019-2020
Will water quality have only two years of rotation or three?
I noticed that water quality was in the years 2012, 2013, 2014,
and I was wondering why saltwater was the next topic, because 2012 and 2013
both covered freshwater. I am assuming that the year of 2014 covered saltwater.

It's highly likely Sounds will move into B to replace Density Lab in 2021. I'm not sure what will be replacing it in C, though some form of Trajectory or Hovercraft seems most likely to me.dxu46 wrote:What's replacing Density Lab and Sounds of Music right now?chalker wrote:Just wanted to point out that for most events, we have the rotations planned out years in advance. For my committee (Physics), we tentatively know the next 6+ years (albeit we're open to adjustments if they are warranted.)
I suspect two years, and iirc 2014 covered estuaries or something like that.JionPark wrote:Will water quality have only two years of rotation or three?

This rotation has varied. 2009, 2010, 2011 was Ecology, and as you note 2012-14 was WQ. However, they then moved to a 2 year rotation for Green Generation in 2015-16 and back to Ecology for 17-18.JionPark wrote:Will water quality have only two years of rotation or three?

I see almost no changes being made as boomilever is already hard enough... We might be looking at some sort of bonus though? (idksourpatchkids wrote:Any insight into what changes will be made to Boomilever rules this upcoming season?

Maybe they’ll do something similar to the second year of towers and make the boomi have to fit through a ring at a certain distance from the wallTheChiScientist wrote:I see almost no changes being made as boomilever is already hard enough...
