Re: PICTURES, SCORES, VIDEOS!!
Just to clarify, when you guys mention box beam/compression box, do you basically mean 4 main compression sticks but connected with bracing?

Does box beam mean using sheets then? Otherwise I can't see how you would make it hollow.

Obviously you wouldn't roll it. I guess you could glue 4 long strips to make a box, or you could just drill a very long hole through the entire column (not a good idea)sciencecat42 wrote:Ah I see.MadCow2357 wrote:Box beam refers to hollow compression members.sciencecat42 wrote:Just to clarify, when you guys mention box beam/compression box, do you basically mean 4 main compression sticks but connected with bracing?

Ao far, highest 2870, box design boomilever with Div B spec, 2340 can be obtained; tube boomilever, with div B spec 2260.
Epoxy glue for key joint and foam polyurethane glue (Lowe's gorilla expansion glue, you have to remove the extra glue) for secondary joint. It would take 24 hour to develop full strength. You may need to plan 3-4 days to make one boomilever.

Is the box design the compression box or a box made from sheets?scottK2019 wrote:Ao far, highest 2870, box design boomilever with Div B spec, 2340 can be obtained; tube boomilever, with div B spec 2260.
