Someone told me that a school could get banned/dq’ed by showing the schedule.

They probably meant the draft rules manual, not the schedule. The schedule is public but the draft rules are only available to people who attend SOSI. Sharing the draft rules is a copyright violation.

Why don't they have any science knowledge based spontaneous events for next year? I remember Fast Facts was really fun and Science Quiz Bowl is a pretty good event. I see how there could be a lot of problems with it, but if it was just a test, it would still be a really good event. I might be a little biased here since I was okay at Fast Facts last year ( 8th at Rustin, 3rd at Garnet, 5th at Islip, 1st at states, and 24 at nats(oof)). I also might be biased towards these types events because I love them and I happen to be okay at science bowl ( 1st at Islip Last year, 3rd at Cornell this year.) But they should still have these events, because they really require you to expand your knowledge of science.

This would be extremely hard to study for. Sci QB would definitely be one of those events that everyone would want to do, but is either really good at it or really bad. Honestly, I feel like this would be unfair for some schools. The material tested isn't something you learn in a year or a few months, it's something you learn gradually over time.

How much will the Water Quality organism list change?

Is the subtopic for Dynamic Planet next year going to be glaciers again? It makes sense since they've been going off of two-year rotations but I heard somewhere that they might change it to one-year rotations.

It's most likely going to change completely, probably to fish or something b/c the topic is saltwater next year unless it somehow doesn't change
