Re: New York 2019
I'm confused about that as well, since height is the most important parameter for Wright Stuff. If you've been to states before, I think the Rec Center is the awards ceremony stadium, but I don't recall how high the ceiling was.terence.tan wrote:on the ny state website it says that the room for wright stuff is 119' x 111". why dont they include the height?

Anyways a few thoughts: Columbia's obviously the runaway favorites from their invite performance to win. Ward and FM seem to be neck and neck which makes sense because Ward seemed stronger at Cornell, but FM historically dominates states and consistently qualifies for nats. The second tier of teams is led off by Syosset, I personally feel though that Stuy's Cornell or GNS's Princeton performances would be enough give one of them number 4 but I guess not. Also the Mount is probably ranked lower due to a lack of very impressive invite showings, but I wouldn't be surprised if they jumped a bit. I feel like 4-7 could go any order, but I think teams in the top 7 should be very safe, I doubt any other team has a good chance at getting top 7 (look at the steep vote drop off from mount to kellenburg). Anyways should be interesting to see what happens.

Re: New York 2019
You kinda hit the nail on the head here, top 7 are probably pretty secure but I wouldn’t take anything off the table. But yeah it would take some serious stuff on the part of Kellenberg (note the spelling pls) to bridge that point gap haha. Great Neck South’s Princeton performance was very promising tbh but in years past the mount has always scaled well at states, especially last year where they took 4th. I wouldn’t discount your own teams’ performances tho and I think the poll proves that along with like Brown results among tons of other good ones. I’d say a few things are set in stone but a lot still has to be determined. Can’t wait as we only have 9 days to go!Name wrote:How many total submissions were there?
