Ahahaha I see, well I know Naperville North went to that Invitational along with IMSA, so I was hoping to scout out the competition ;)

Huntley results are in! :P
1. Stevenson GOLD (89)
2. Stevenson GREEN (108)
3. Crystal Lake Central Orange (214)
4. U of C Lab School Varsity (249)
5. Neuqua Valley Blue (250)
Stevenson maintaining a strong presence while Neuqua Valley seems likely to have gotten 4th had they not flat out bombed WIDI. Results seem to be strong indicators of future state qualifiers. :D

That and in combination with the fact that we were missing two core Varsity members that shared Forensics. They each also did ExpD, Anatomy, Code, and Fossils. Big roster changes coming up with these new results

New Trier just took home a major W with a 4th place at SOUP. Any thoughts on what this could mean for state?

If anything they have a really good chance at placing 1st at state, especially considering which teams were there (Troy, West Windsor Plainsboro North, Brookwood, Lower Merion, Mason, Boca Raton, LASA, Harriton . . . these are all really good teams!). The Solon results are also optimistic for New Trier, as they did place higher than Stevenson by a decent margin.

HOWEVER, I don't think we should jump to any conclusions yet. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think both teams will be at Loyola this weekend. We'll get a very accurate representation of what state will be like once Loyola results are out (Not just for New Trier vs. Stevenson, but also Top 10 and Top 20 at State). Let's not forget about Naperville North, who can seriously give either team (*Stevenson at this point in time) a run for there money for a national bid. Unless they compete at Loyola as well, we won't know this until state. *Anyone with Libertyville results please share them!

Bottom line, things are looking really good for New Trier's state performance right now after SOUP.

Half our team is going to not be present so don't read too hard into those results for our teams performance at state... Otherwise, I think Loyola will be interesting.
