Here is some more questions!

What are the bright spots on Ceres called?

Why do we only ever see one side of the moon from Earth?

What is the most massive and furthest dwarf planet discovered from the Sun?

How many types of asteroids are there and what are the 3 main ones we need to learn about

Good luck to everybody going to regionals! :geek:

Alright, it's just on most tests I have taken, some general space science stuff seems to come up.
These were the answers. 1. Heliopause
2. No atmosphere, low gravity, and no plate tectonics.
3. Earth, Jupiter, Saturn

1. Faculae 2. It is tidally locked 3 Eris 4. I don't know exactly how many but I'm gonna say 12, but the main ones are the C-Group, S-Group, and X-Group

All of these are good except for the last answer. Part of it is my fault because I worded it bad but what I meant was how many main types of asteroids are there and what three do we need to learn. The correct answer is below:

[hide]There are 4 main groups. Of these we must learn about C-Type asteroids, S-Type asteroids, and M-Type asteroids[/hide]

Just some more last minute questions!

what is one of the most common materials in Charon's atmosphere?

what are Trojans?

what are Centaurs?

what moon is thought to be a captured Centaur and what planet does it orbit?

Once again good luck to all those who are going to regionals!

Charon's atmosphere is mainly made up of methane.

1. It is a celestial body that shares the orbit of a large one. 2. (Guess) A small body that generally lies on the outskirts of the solar system, usually has unstable orbit. 3. Mimas I think, if not maybe Phoebe

on number one it does have a lot of methane but (especially at the poles) it is mostly made up of tholins that include methane. [hide]2 looks good[/hide]

[hide]3 looks ok[/hide]

[hide]Phoebe for 4[/hide]

Good job!

Tholins are just a wide variety of compounds, the tholins on Charon are mainly made up of methane and nitrogen.
