This has probably been stated somewhere else before, but last year during MO states, something happened to Thermodynamics. I think it had something to do with the thermometer... They ended up throwing that score out.

Some small invitational when i was in seventh grade, the road scholar proctors had only 4? topo maps (might’ve been only 2) for around 10 teams competing in our time block. This could have gone okay, but the proctors decided to format the test in stations. We had maybe 10 minutes at the topo station and then we followed a confusing rotation to a couple highway map stations with 2 other teams (kinda still not sure what happened) apparently I went backwards one station and messed up the rotation and the proctor called me out, yelled at me, accused me of cheating, and threatened to dq me. He let me go back to the test but it was a bad experience. (pretty sure we still medaled though)

Yesterday, when I was doing fossils, the stations were not taped to the desk, so people took the stations with them. And some of the stations had a VERY bad picture. One was literally a black blob. For some reason, I got 6th though

In Mystery Architecture, we had to make a bridge with a minimum clearance of 15 cm.
With 4 sheets of paper
And duct tape.
To be fair though, they were pretty large sheets of paper

Also whoever was supposed to make the Anatomy test just got one off the internet with the wrong body systems, so they just made it a trial event.

Last year at states in NY the proctors told nobody in Crime Busters which items were the mixtures, so a significant amount of the test had to be uncounted that year after my coach appealed it.

Probably the first time a test writer is writing about themselves, but I wrote a code busters test for a competition yesterday, and this slipped in...

One time at regionals last year, the hovercraft test was only 15 questions... and 2 of them were the exact same. My partner and I ended up finishing in about 13 minutes. We still got first.
