Re: Boomilever B/C
try something smaller than 1/8 x 1/8 but bigger than 1/16 x 1/16 if you have little or no experience doing balsa build events such as bridges or towers and move on to 1/16 x 1/16 later in the season, or just start out with 1/16 x 1/16 if you already have experience.

Re: Boomilever B/C
Easily scores of 1100 and up. The Palatine invitational had scores of 1000 and up for boom and those were the ones that medaled. Ohio I presume will be a lot tougher. (Palatine had teams like New Trier, Stevenson, Munster so it's easy to say that it was very aggressive.)Cow481 wrote:What scores do you guys think will place at ohio invites like solon or mentor, I want to know what I am “up against”

This is under the assumption of similar Div B and Div C scores, which I wouldn't necessarily say is true.TheChiScientist wrote:Easily scores of 1100 and up. Re: Boomilever B/C
Ok. You have a valid point there but I still think scores will be in a very similar range. Probably 800+ for division B.Unome wrote:This is under the assumption of similar Div B and Div C scores, which I wouldn't necessarily say is true.TheChiScientist wrote:Easily scores of 1100 and up. Re: Boomilever B/C
I think it’s easier for divisions B so the scores should be higher than Div C as if always has been.

Re: Boomilever B/C
In Ohio, I'd expect early season Division B invitational winners to be between 1100 and 1200. By the time we get to State, I'd expect 1500 to 1800 to win... maybe more!

I don't really know for division B, but I seriously doubt that that will be the case for Division CCow481 wrote:So i’m guessing 1800-2000 would be national placing. Big oof
