Thanks! :D (Although I don't think there's going to be a chance of that since this is my school's first year) :D

3 days to state, 2 bridges tested, both under 500 efficiency. Lets here it for mediocrity and stupidity.

Quick question for the Bridge Builders on this site.

I am the coach of a team from Michigan and my Bridge students won our Regional with an efficiency score of 1199. What do you think it will take to medal at the state competition? I am guess somewhere in the 1700 range minimum.

B or C?

Either way, you would probably get gold with that figure, I suspect.

What region are you? I'm in region 12 (comp. at GVSU), and I'm sure that that score will definitely medal.
EDIT: I got 9th place at my region (one of the most competitive in MI) with an efficiency of 620.

My state competition is on saturday and i hav a question bout my bridge. It currently weighs 15.8g and should hold at least 13kg and i'm hoping 2 hold 15kg. Should i bake the bridge so that it will be lighter? (if i'm going to bake, i wanna aim for 15g for the weight of the bridge.) and how well do you think i will do at state? if i hold the weight, the max ratio would be 1000(if i bake it). I'm in divison B, by the way.

I believe that baking slightly decreases the strength of your bridge, and .8 grams doesn't seem like that much. I probably would stay on the safe side if I were you. However, if baking doesn't do anything to the strength, go ahead and try. You'll have to wait for another member to answer the baking to strength question.

What are the other regions in Michigan getting?

My students bridge weighed 9.8 grams and held 11.8 kg (score of 1199). I am just trying to get a goal for them to shoot for in terms of what to expect at States. 1700 efficency was just a guess on my part . . . what sort of efficencies do you think we are looking at for state?
