You don't have to bring a kit, although I would suggest getting breadboards, multimeters, batteries, resistors, etc. so that you can practice using them. What the lab station actually is is pretty much up to the supervisor.anug123 wrote:Do we know what type of kit is required for Circuit lab event?is this kit include, resistors.,capacitors, wires, multimeters, breadboards etc?

How about talking to your physics teacher?Etan wrote:Alright, I'm new to this event and have absolutely no idea where to start. If anyone knows any sources that would be useful to me please let me know
If you don't know any physics teachers, then any old science teacher would do.
If none of your science teachers have any good information, then, well... I would research every item in 3.c.

I think he means old as in you have had them as a teacher in the past, not their age.

Actually any old in this context is an idiom that emphasizes the word "any".Kai0721 wrote:I think he means old as in you have had them as a teacher in the past, not their age.

FYI, we've put up some incredibly impressive (IMHO) resources on the official event webpage: https://www.soinc.org/circuit-lab-c Also, starting on Sunday night Oct 7th, I believe one of the national event supervisors is going to start hosting a regular Youtube livestream where he'll go over a section and be able to answer questions you might have.

Just to give a bit more detail on what Chalker referred to in the last post:
Russ Burleson, former Maryland State Director and longtime National Event Supervisor, will be hosting weekly live coaching sessions broadcast on YouTube. These sessions will take place on Sunday evenings starting on Sunday, October 7th at 4:00 PM Central Time and continue for the next 15 weeks.
Participants in the Live session are requested to review that week's material in advance and have their parents' permission if they are under 18 years of age.
