Wow, they really changed the rules, didn't they? Guess I'll have a lot of new things to study (like what an op amp is)!

Re: Circuit Lab B/C
3.c.xiii. and 3.c.xiv. seem to directly contradict 3.d.'s prohibition on asking about semiconductors and nonlinear components. I assume 3.c. takes precedence over 3.d.

Yes, that's the only way that would make sense. 3.d. was the rule from previous years. I assume they just carried it over to this year without specifying that there were exceptions.mjcox2000 wrote:3.c.xiii. and 3.c.xiv. seem to directly contradict 3.d.'s prohibition on asking about semiconductors and nonlinear components. Opinions expressed on this site are not official; the only place for official rules changes and FAQs is soinc.org.

Re: Circuit Lab B/C
Is there a specific book on this? I was thinking of a physics textbook but I'm not sure.
For now, I'm just reading Wikipedia articles.

Re: Circuit Lab B/C
I would recommend the textbook I posted to start with actually. It's super helpful! (And someone, e.g. me, should probably get around to updating the wiki.)Killboe wrote:Etan wrote:Alright, I'm new to this event and have absolutely no idea where to start.
