I'm not sure how it would be considered bootleg, but yeah, it focuses mainly on health sciences. I'm not in HOSA so I may be incorrect, but based on observation, I think you take tests online to qualify for the next level of competition, and then you actually go to the physical competition. There are also events where you make posters and presentations.

HOSA is probably better described as a medical version of BPA/DECA/FBLA. You can only compete in one "real" event and one recognition event. The competitions aren't necessarily online; Michigan has all competitors at a physical location, regardless of whether their event is a test, practical skill, or presentation.
