I just had a question about the required materials. The packet said that the judges may require certain materials to be incorporated (in addition to the mystery item) but I'm guessing that if my state website hasn't posted anything, that I don't need to bring anything. Would I be right in that assessment?

correct tinker. if theres nothing on the state website and your coach hasnt gotten an email about it (no, he hasnt if youre in minnesota) then we will not have required materials unless the proctor sends the teams an email in the very near future.

If anyone is willing to divulge their information, I was wondering if anyone has a box that a 25 cm cubed object can fit into? All I'm looking for is a yes or no, and it's completely optional.

Just had MO state yesterday. Got first place with our "Tipping the Scale". I was dissapointed that we didn't get to use our coin sorter. The challenge object was a large bolt and nut at about 253.4g and mystery mat was a cd. Good luck to all people who have a team that is good enough to go to nats.

Does anyone have a very attractive coin sorter? We worked pretty hard on ours today, and I think it's going to work, but it's really ugly. I can't come up with a way to make it look cleaner.

Ugly doesn't matter. We had one that was planned & built in two days by *ONE* person - ugly? kind of, but it *still* got 4th at State.
