Intrigued how the B teams of Manheim Central and Central York did. That could go a long way in seeing how far ahead Cumberland Valley is from them (at least currently).

Also, North Pocono results

Very interesting. One would have to say that Cumberland Valley is a very strong contender for the Central region crown. Of course, it is impossible to tell how State College is faring, but I believe CV has still not placed behind any other Central team. Stacking, of course, plays a part, but they look like one of the front-runners.

As for the Northeast, it looks like another three-team race between North Pocono, Abington Heights, and Stroudsburg, who have all had strong invitational showings at different points during the year. Wyoming Area looks a step back, but should still qualify for the state tournament. ES South is faring rather well from the loss of their last top-10 placing class from JT Lambert, as they placed above Lehighton and Athens; it seems they'll be in the mix for the last few state qualification spots with Wallenpaupack, Dallas, and Pleasant Valley, who's looking for their first state bid. We should learn more about PV's strength at Tiger this coming weekend. Lehighton and Athens appear to have work left to do in order to qualify through regionals.

I can always count on GoldenKnight with the invite scores, even when his teams weren't present! Thanks! :)

It's going to take some time to unpack what all of this means in the context of the other invites, but I don't think anything happened at Tiger to change my suspicions that NEPA will come down to N Pocono, Abington Hts, and Stroudsburg. Hard to call a favorite right now as all three have had at least one very good tournament. CEPA will likely come down to NW Lehigh and Perkiomen Valley, though if Parkland puts in a good performance at Penn, they could put themselves into the conversation. Central York had another solid showing, and should contend in a wide-open Central regional. ACCHS, Wallenpaupack, and Wyoming Area look like pretty safe bets for states, and Kutztown and Whitehall should be in the mix. Central Bucks South would be safer if they didn't compete in SEPA, but they do, and the big 5 teams, plus North Penn, all already look like pretty safe bets to qualify for states.

A little bit disappointing to see Pleasant Valley as low as they are; I was hoping they'd continue an upward trajectory this year. It's still possible of course, but a need for improvement is evident. Curious if Scranton is actually Scranton HS (who'd be a new team) or Scranton Prep, who's competed for a few years now. If i's the latter, it could indicate that Scranton Prep is starting to move up into the "bubble tier" of NEPA with Athens, Dallas, ES South, Lehighton, and potentially the aforementioned Pleasant Valley. If it's the former, it could signal the arrival of a new program that could make some noise in the future. Either way, the favorites in that bubble tier based on results thus far are probably South, based on North Pocono, and Dallas, based on past results as I don't believe they have attended an invitational this year (or plan to).

I dunno about most of the time, but thanks! One of the most interesting parts of SO is following the year-to-year trends, so it's always nice to know that I'm not just yelling into the void all the time, haha. I'll probably do my full regional predictions after Cornell on the 24th; that at least gives me half a week before SEPA occurs. I'm gonna try not to get too wordy, but that doesn't always work out well.

If the projected state spot allotment on the wiki is right, it'd be cool that SEPA is getting an 8th qualification spot this year in C; that's got to make the teams outside the top 5 breathe a little bit more easily.
