Re: Funny Science Olympiad Test Answers
On Crave the Wave at Regionals, one question asked how fast a tsunami wave could go. Now, me and my partner were barely prepared, and we didn't know this one. We didn't want to waste too much time, so I just put down OVER 9000 and moved on. We ended up getting 2nd
(Don't ask me how).

Re: Funny Science Olympiad Test Answers
On the disease detectives test last year at states, the people doing it placed such answers down as:
for a question on Hernias:
Do you have a hernia? (this guy and I like greet each other as Hi, do you have a hernia?)
another one was
Geico, ask about it at work.
surprisingly, they didnt get last for those answers!

Re: Funny Science Olympiad Test Answers
Apparently, a friend of mine and another teammate had a blast doing a trial event at state last year. They made up TONS of answers.
Their most memorable one however, was their answer to "Why does the Earth have a magnetic field?"
They put "Because God said 'Let there be a magnetic field', and there was."
(Please, don't take this offensively at all!)

Re: Funny Science Olympiad Test Answers
You must have had the same test as we did (since you're not from Eastern LI, right?)- everyone who did ecology at ours was laughing about that. The pair that did the best were joking that the only reason they did so well was because they put "yes" for that questiontrajectoryroxs wrote:Just yesterday when I took ecology test @ regionals there was a question that said isnt the kanngaroo rat cute.

Re: Funny Science Olympiad Test Answers
On my SciCrimebusters test, we were sharing a station w/ a girl whose partner didn't show up, so she was doing it on her own...and started asking me and my partner questions! Seriously! She was like "Wow! That thing (zinc)really fizzes when you put this stuff on it!" What is HCL anyway? Do you know?"
Micayla, my partner, told her that it stood for Hyper-Charged-liquid, and she went ahead and wrote that down on her paper. Clueless!!!
